Good Morning NLDF Family!

Good morning, brothers and sisters! Today we continue in 2 Samuel 19:1–8 (ASLV), where David is overwhelmed with grief after the death of Absalom. His sorrow is deep and real, but as his grief begins to affect everyone around him, Joab challenges David to get up and move forward.

This morning, we’ll think about how we handle grief: giving ourselves permission to mourn while also remembering that grief cannot be the only voice we listen to. In our sorrow, we can look to Jesus, who was called the Man of Sorrows. Only He fully understands our pain and gives us hope beyond it.

As you prepare for worship, ask God to turn your heart toward Him and to remind you of the hope we have in Christ.

Prayer Focus - Floods in Nepal

This week, please pray for Nepal after severe flash flooding destroyed homes, roads, and bridges. Local churches and relief workers are responding to urgent needs while sharing the hope of Christ.

As we pray, let’s especially pray for the Deaf community in Nepal, where Bible translation and mission efforts have been growing in recent years.

Please pray for:

  • Deaf people affected by the flooding - safety, shelter, food, and access to emergency information.

  • Deaf believers and ministry partners - protection, strength, and opportunities to serve others.

  • Relief workers and local churches - wisdom, endurance, and safe access to those in need.

  • Gospel hope - that many would experience Christ’s love and hear the good news of Jesus.
