Good Morning NLDF Family!

This morning, Greg Vollmar, one of our elders, will be sharing from Psalm 23 (CBT). We’ll look at the picture of God as our Shepherd, specifically how He guides us along the right paths for his glory.

Greg will also connect this passage to his upcoming trip to Ecuador, where he will be working alongside local Deaf people to support sign language Bible translation.

Before you come to worship this morning, make sure to take some time to watch or read Psalm 23! Pray that we would trust the Shepherd who faithfully leads His people, and also pray for the Deaf of Ecuador to have greater access to God’s Word in their own language.

Prayer Focus - Deaf of Southeast Asia

This week, we are giving thanks for how God is working among the Deaf of Southeast Asia.

Jueri grew up Buddhist and lived with deep fear. In desperation, she prayed to Jesus and began to experience a hope she had never known before. As she learned more about Jesus through Bible stories in her sign language, she chose to follow Him, and then she began sharing the gospel with her Deaf friends. Many of them also came to faith in Christ.

Praise God for answered prayer! Let’s thank Him for the way He is using Deaf believers to reach other Deaf people!

Please pray for:

  • Jueri and other Deaf believers - that they will continue growing in faith and boldly sharing Jesus with others.

  • More Deaf people to know Christ - that God will open hearts across Southeast Asia and give more Deaf people access to the gospel in their own sign languages.

Give thanks that God is already at work, and pray that many more Deaf people throughout Southeast Asia will find lasting hope in Jesus.
